We Are Still Here

My race has endured a tremendous prejudice from the day Africa was discovered as the birthplace of humanity; we have suffered the lost of more lives than any other race as well! Hear our tribulations and afflictions documented here...

Unlike the Jews, our history is hidden... the terror that saw Leopold II murder and maim over ten million Congolese, the hundreds of thousands of us whose souls littered the oceanic trail of tears to America's shores, the 'low-hanging fruit stifling the sweet smell of magnolias... but we are here!

The year 1619, marks the beginning of our enslavement at the hands of America's Puritan ancestors! Our lineage obliviated through the degradation and manipulation of our gene pool... witness the 'good Christians' watching from their perches upon high. We are tainted, but we are still here!

My race has given far more good than the evil we have received in kind... oppression, persecution, and genocide mark our way of life, the beautiful melatonin gracing our skin entraps, stymies our path to freedom making painful to bear the disparate yoke, but we are still here!

We believe the writings from the Book of Guidance, the Tabloids of Moses written by His hand. For 400 hundreds years we have wandered this land, faithfully seeking the 'promise land'! Our burden, though enduring to such lost souls denotes with clarity... we are of Earth everlasting! Our blood transitions the bodies of humanity and so, we are still here!

Glory be to the Father of us all without whom we would surely have fallen! I write these words in commemoration of my Mother's mother's mother's mother's strength of character as embodied in hue of our complexion, and to the two women I believe to be the pillars of strength in my life... my Wife and my youngest daughter.
